This meeting will feature presentations in basic, animal, translational and clinical aspects of brain-gut communication as it relates to nutrition, the gut microbiome and human emotion and behavior in health and disease. Featuring renowned experts in the field, this full day Symposium will highlight mechanistic biopsychosocial research relating to Brain-Gut Interactions. A significant portion of the meeting will be devoted to discussion and information sharing between the presenters and the audience, and through this interaction, the meeting will further help to translate research to clinical applications.

A special half day workshop for those with particular interest will be held the day following the Symposium to develop a set of concepts and recommendations leading to a future research agenda. The information gleaned from the Symposium and the recommendations that develop from the workshop forum will be an important component that will help direct future research and practical applications in this emerging field. There is no additional charge for attending this session, however space is limited and your attendance at Saturday's program is not guaranteed until you have received an email from APS confirming your participation.
