Biopsychosocial Science and Medicine
Biopsychosocial Science and Medicine is the official peer-reviewed journal of the Society for Biopsychosocial Science and Medicine. Electronic access to the journal is provided as a benefit to members of the Society. The journal was founded in 1939 as Psychosomatic Medicine and launched its first issue under the new name in 2025.
The journal publishes experimental, clinical, and epidemiological studies on the role of psychological and social factors in the biological and behavioral processes relevant to health and disease. The journal is an interdisciplinary peer-reviewed publication devoted to high-quality science on biobehavioral mechanisms, brain-behavior interactions relevant to physical and mental disorders, as well as interventions in clinical and public health settings. Suzanne C. Segerstrom, PhD, MPH, is the Editor-in-Chief.
