How to Apply

Nominations should include:

  • 500 - 1000 word justification for the nomination
  • An up-to-date curriculum vitae of the nominee (PDF format required)

Deadline has passed. 

 

The Society’s highest honor is the APS Distinguished Scientist Award, eligibility for which extends to senior scientists and physicians who have made an important and protracted contribution in any research field within the Society’s bailiwick.

In addition, nominees should be members of the Society and would be expected to have contributed substantially over the years to its aims and goals. The recipient must attend the Annual Meeting.

The award consists of a commemorative plaque, a check for $1,500, and a complimentary meeting registration.

Criteria for Nominees:

In addition, nominees should be members of the Society and would be expected to have contributed substantially over the years to its aims and goals.
