In recent years, an increasing number of researchers attending APS have been presenting their work on early life factors affecting developmental and health outcomes. Worldwide, interest in the topic of the developmental origins of health and disease is growing, with an increasing number of publications on this topic and an increasing number of journals and societies specifically dedicated to this topic.
APS members are in a unique position to contribute to this area of research both by virtue of their overall guiding interest in health outcomes and in their diverse set of skills and interests related to the role of early adversity in health and disease outcomes.
